NOTICE TO CLUBS AND ATHLETES: UNAUTHORISED USE OF COMRADES MARATHON LOGO
Please note that the Comrades Marathon logo is a registered trademark of the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA).
Any use thereof incurs a royalty payment due to the CMA and any unauthorised use thereof constitutes an infringement that is prosecutable.
As the rights to the use of the Comrades logo have been ceded to Mr Price Sport as part of their sponsorship rights package, unauthorised usage by any running club or athlete infringes on those rights.
Running clubs and athletes are therefore not permitted to use the Comrades Marathon logo in any form. This means that no running club or athlete apparel may be produced bearing the Comrades Marathon logo.
Running clubs and athletes are urged to purchase their Comrades branded apparel from Mr Price Sport stores countrywide or online and rebrand those with their club name and/or logo.
Alternatively, clubs and athletes may use the words Comrades Marathon but NOT the Comrades Marathon logo.
Failure to abide by this notice will result in legal proceedings being brought against those clubs and individuals who transgress these rules.

This is the second part of the Summer Triple which also consists of the Pentecost
and Once in July 16-18 / 7. The rules are available at www.gang.
Classes and distances:
Men Seniors / Veterans 3000 m / 3 km
Women Seniors / Veterans 3000m / 3km
Young people / Juniors / Beginners 1000m / 1 km
- We compete individually or in small groups at home.
- Choose yourself if you want to go on a track or a controlled distance on the road and which day you want to compete (June 25-27).
- You take the time yourself and then send the result to monicasvensson@telia.com
- no later than 27 June at 18.00 Indicate if you went on a track or road, which day you went and would like to be (place, sports venue).
- Registration no later than Thursday 24 June at 18.00 to monicasvensson@telia.com
- Enter name, year of birth, association and distance. The start list is then published on www.gang.se and sent out to all registered.
- After the competition has been completed and when all results have been reported, the results are published on www.gang.se and sent out to all participants.

AGN COACHING COURSE – ASA LEVEL 1 FOR JUNE & JULY 2021
Dear AGN Members,
The AGN office is intended to host the coaching course see below dates;

Time: 08:30 registration
Starting time: 09:00 – 16:00
Date: 26 June, 3 July, 10 July, 17 July and 24 July 2021.
The aim is to target townships schools’ teachers for Primary and High Schools.
60% attendees must be women.

ATHLETICS GAUTENG NORTH GENERAL MANAGER POSITION- 2021
POST: General Manager
REMUNERATION: Negotiable
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 Certificate. (NQF level 6) qualification. (NQF level 7) will be added as advantage as recognized by SAQA in Sports Management, Financial Management, Public Administration and or Performance Management. A valid driver’s license. Own Transport will be added as advantage. At least five (05) years of experience at middle management level.
Other Requirements
Be Computer Literate. Good Communications Skills (written & verbal). Good Supervision Skills. Be able to work effectively and efficiently under sustained pressure. Be physical fit. Willing to travel.
Responsibilities
To be responsible for leading the organization and overseeing the day-to-day management of the organization. Be accountable to the Board as you drive the organization forward by delivering the Goals of the Strategic Plan while providing the leadership necessary to meet Athletics Gauteng North’s future development needs. You will be expected to understand athletes and coaches needs while having the ability to manage a complex portfolio of organizational responsibilities including commercial and strategic priorities, operational effectiveness, stakeholder management, communications and financial/governance controls. Demonstrate motivational skills to the Athletics Gauteng North management, staff and volunteer network across all activities. Represent Athletics Gauteng North and the athletics community in a responsible manner in line with the organization’s values. Maintain and develop best practice management and governance protocols. Work proactively and respectfully with all the organization’s key stakeholders to deliver the goals of the Strategic Plan. Deliver the goals and targets within the Strategic Plan. Ensure the organization has adequate resources (including staff with the right skills and expertise) and is appropriately organized/structured to deliver successfully against the approved strategy and performance measures/standards. Develop and manage relationships with coaches, athletes and business partners that enhance/support the services of the organisation. Ensure the organization is compliant with all relevant legislation, employment legislation, and Safeguarding Operations Standards.
Knowledge/Experience
(a) Knowledge/Experience
Essential: Understanding of Athletics Gauteng North Strategy. Financial and commercial competence. Working knowledge of Company law. Experience of leading, managing and development of staff. An understanding of athletics governance and development. Knowledge of building regulations, laws and risks assessment. Demonstrate a working understanding and application of inclusion equality and anti-discrimination, safe and best practice. Ability to support and manage a voluntary Committee structures. Competent in the use of IT and computers. Knowledge in marketing and commercial functions of the business. Passion and knowledge of grass roots athletics. Advanced report writing.
(b)Desirable: Sport/Athletics experience. Experience of change management and tools. A working knowledge/experience of organization improvement models.
